I belong to a Hannover Kingdom mailing list available from Rootsweb.
I just live for Familiennahmen, family history posts by people like Manfred Puffahrt, who have
people in this Lueneburg Stadt area of Hanover. Goehrde, Bleckede,
Hitzacker, etc.
What you see here is one of his postings. I collect these Surnames and locations just like I collect gold and collectibles at Farmville at facebook.

I have separated residents and their villages and posted that at another page.
Some of the pages are currently in "Edit" at the moment
my intent is to separate people and add them  to a page under
the village that they live in. I hope to add some kind of symbol
maybe designating what tree they belong to, and or source of my information.
If  you have any helpful suggestions they would be welcome.
These surnames are as good as gold at Farmville. Some of these might be repeat family history.

Do not forget there was a Puffahrt name roped
in with a Farmville colonist.
My Particular interest here is Breese, Glienitz,
Schutzchur [Schulz], and Witzeetze. Nehering,
Do you suppose Fehring could have been Nehring.
Maybe. But the 'n' of the  alphabet in old
writing does  not look like  a 'F'.
Time will tell.

Unbekannt Meyer - Unknown Meyer - Missing Meyer Names

Genealogy working and searching is like putting the right Pieces of the puzzle together to make that final picture.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could view a master picture of a chart of what our completed family tree would look like. Illustrated here by the puzzle guide picture for help in putting the puzzle together. . It's nice.

But guess what ?

You still have to sort through, find the right piece, try it and replace it a few more times. Then there is the successful days where it works. One by one, two by two. Eventually you find most of the pieces. You can show your family your finished puzzle which looks just like the picture.

Lucky you sometimes finds some good hits of sources and you add it to your chart. Eventually you find most of the pieces of the past. and you can show your finished family chart full of family members to other family members..

Meyer Ubbekannt Women, Meyer Unbekannt Men who are unknown, do not yet fit into a big completed puzzle.





Some Pieces don't fit together.
Some People 's familiennamen just do not fit into my family line !
But at least there are still pieces or names to work with.
A Genealogical puzzle.
Just like a puzzle I have to fit the pieces together exactly. If not the puzzle would not form the picture. It may not even form the shape of a square or rectangle.


But at least there are still pieces of the past or names to work with from Oldendorf an der Goehrde. From Nahrendorf, Neetzendorf, Sueschendorf, Duebbekold, Radenbeck,Reinstorf, Dahlenburg, Ellringen, Eichdorf, Boitze, Weste, Sammatz, Barskamp, Kleinburg, alt Garge, and Dannenberg.

I have a long ways to go.


I am missing Meyer names.
I am missing Pieces of the past.

I have not found out about all the pieces of the past that go together to make the finished picture. To make the puzzle complete, they all have to be looked at and and and tried.to see if they fit together.

I am missing information on the Meyer family. I will not finish my family chart until more information is found. It has to be the right information. And then maybe My work can be called finished.

Genealogy Family History of Surname Schoeberlein of Calhoun county Iowa

I wanted to include the little more I saw of the Frotscher family in the Calhoun County, Iowa History book.
Pp. 392.

Jack Russel SCHOEBERLEIN is one of four children of John and Belle Frotscher SCHOEBERLEIN and lived all of his life in Cedar Township of Rural Lohrville, Calhoun county, Iowa.

The dad - John Carl Schoeberlein born in Pittsburg Penn. usa. His ancestry came from the southwest region in west Germany in what is known as the Black forest region and maybe in the French Territory. His parents along with Rudolph, Conrad, Martin, Oscar and sister Hilda came to Iowa and lived on a Farm Northwest of Farnhamville. Iowa. He was sixteen old when he came to Iowa. He as a steam fitter while in Penn. After living in Iowa he installed Plumbing in new Hotel.

The mom - Belle Elisabeth Frotscher was born in Illinois and was only three months old when her parents, five other sisters and two brothers came to Iowa to make their home in Cedar township where they were educated in the country schools and farmed.

The dad and mom married 1915. Four children born here. Jeannie Ione [Des Moines], Ferris [ moved to Havre, Montana] , Jack Russel[ Cedar township] , Cecil [ Farnhamville] This article that I briefly edited loosely was written by Jack Schoeberlein


Comment: I did find Bertha C. McKinley at Havre, Hill county Montana - 1930 Census. It said married. Though another shot of information claims she was not married. Birth around 1890. another Info census I had said she was born around 1884? The William Mckinley she was Married to worked for the Steam railroad. He had something to do with the Cars.

Genealogie Family History- Frotscher, Dohrmann, Seil

First family history of Frotscher

Christian.G. Frotscher * Born in Saxony came at age eighteen. He worked in eastern usa then in Viola, Illinois [ Mercer County, Illinois,] he married Bertha NEIR FROTSCHER. She was born in Baden, Germany. They had eight children. In 1896 the family decided to move to Iowa. He and Fred went first to Paton and then his wife and the rest of the children followed him. They stayed in Paton for a year or so and then moved to Farnhamville area. He raised Percheron horses. He supplied horse powered Threshers with horses. All the children farmed in Farnhamville area except for Bertha who lived in Montana with a railroad man Wm. McKinley.

Children:
1- Lena - 00 md. Henry DOHRMANN jr. Their children were Ernest and LeRoy.

2- Bertha -00 md. Wm. MCKINLEY - daughter Marilyn.

3- Frederick [Fred] C. Frotscher- 00 Mary GREEN.
Fred was born * 1896 near Aledo Illinois. Audry had gone to live with her aunt Nell and uncle Fred KRUG* In Webster. Married 01.July.1943.
Siblings:
Mary C. GREEN born in Milrale Penn. She came to Iowa with her parents[ Peter and Mary Anna GUTH Green] in 1902. They grew up on Neighboring farms in Cedar township and married 00 md 17. Feb.1913. Mary and Fred moved to Beacham farm section 23 Cedar twsp. North west of Farnhamville. They reared four children:
-Catherine - 00 md John H. DEALl 00 md. June 1933
Connie and Max are their children.
-Harold - 00 md. Audrey WELLS. Audry had gone to live with her aunt Nell and uncle Fred Krug In Webster. Married 01.July.1943.

Children:
Robert , Duane; and Marlene Ann.
-George -00 md Betty THELIN, children Barbara and Kent.
-Marianne - childen are Rick, Jim, Bob
Donald KRUG.

None of my people were from Baden. Jaeschke in this group from Danzig. Vogels from Bohemia.
Did August Seil know the Dohrmans in Joliet. Why can't I find them on the ILLINOIS census.
Alvina should have at least been born in time for the census. Did the Frotschers meet there prior. I think so. I read that Dohrman's ran an elevator. What was Wlm. Seil's occupation. He might have worked for some large Farmers in the area maybe those who were on his naturalization papers. There is a Farmers Directory. Did Dohrmann or Frotschers declare citizenship in Illinois or in Iowa.? what was the Immigration year?

- I looked up Viola, Illinois, and noted that they have had a Threshers reunion. This is Not the first time Threshers have been mentioned lately! I hope you will visit the village on line and see the beautyful old thresher. I did find the Neirs on a census.

Thoughts
- Bertha and McKinley in Montana. Interesting in the light of my research about the Fehrings in the gold mining towns. For curiosity sake, I should check census for the two.
At this time I have been wondering why the decision to move to Paton and Farnhamville Iowa. Who decided first and what promted this.
Even for William Seil at Joliet, did he go to Iowa because these people did. If he knew that John Seil family there at Joliet then he may have learned of Fred Schroeder. Or he knew Fred from back home in Germany Dahlenburg and Nahrendorf. Fred heard about Fred Meyer at Highland area in Greene county.
- Where was the Krugs from?

Genealogy Gold - and Family History about Grote, Naefke, Meyer Family Additions

I Have more Family History info for you on the Grote family related to me by Mark Kuhlmann.

There are 2 more siblings of Adele Grote Naefke Meyer. Frank Grote - Born Nov 1893 in Farnhamville, Iowa - Died and buried there in 1954. Then the youngest Grote - Paul Grote - born Feb 1895 in Randolph, Arkansas. Paul Grote's Canadian Immagrtion Papers dated 24 Feb 1924 went to Red Deer, Canada. From there he went on to Alaska to find his brother Carl ( went to Canada not long after their moving to Arkansas). After communicating with my brother Marvin Kuhlman, Marvin told me while he was stationed in Alaska with the U.S. Army as a Dentist ( late 1940's ), he tried to find Paul Grote, since they were related,............. Marvin said Paul had a gold claim and ............ the search for Paul Grote has stopped there. If your interested, Emma Grote married Frank Daniel Wenck of Glidden, Iowa. I have a pic of my parents ( Elmer and Amanda Kuhlman ) with the Wenck's on their farm in Glidden, Iowa. I've probably forgotten to add somethig but if and or when I remember, I'll send you something.

That information above is the email letter received this last December from Mark Kuhlmann about Grote, Naefke, and Ahrens. So, I will make some necessary corrections in my previous post. I will add on his information to the little that I have written here. I know, I know, I need to get busy and add more from clippings and notes.

Remember - Adele Grote also married William Meyer.

If you relatives and readers have any questions I should post to him, let me know. I certainly take my time in thinking of question I should be asking. So I can use all the help I can get, as they say.

Psst. psst. - I watch the Gold rush show religiously on the Discovery channel. I have been wondering where abouts the gold claim in Alaska could be for Paul Grote. I'll have to see if anything is shown on the census.
