Halbhof 5 Landowner at Gut Horndorf of Mücklingen

This last week I expanded the information in a "Mini Series Meyer Ahrens Second Marriage" over at arootdiggerblogspot.com on the second marriage of Jürgen Friedrich Meyer geb 1814 with Katharina Margaretha Ahrens at Roethen in the Gohrde forest. The Ahrens family have been evident in our family history tree lineage for some time.

Our Meyer family was quite close with the  Henry [Carl] Seil family from Mücklingen who visted  Grandfather Herman  in Minnesota. I can't explain how the information  really makes me happy to know there were more ties than just the involvement of the family with Nahnsen, Kanning, Naefke.Saucke, Grote It goes further now with even more possibilites.

I'll start with the SEIL family possibilites-
In the report of Heinrich Borstelmann about the Halbhof 5 of Mucklingen [You' ll need to click older at the bottom of the page] he tells us that in 1815 Johann Heinrich Ahrens married  [Eh.zw.] Kath. Dor. Elisabeth SEIL aus Breese [ and something else I haven't translated yet. It refers to some hof fatherless.?]As you know our Luhmann had Seil in Luben and Breese. I have consulted with Herr Soltau about our Seil from Breese and you should find that share  a page  or two further back..


How about we review what I can translate of  Halbhof 5. Gut Horndorf.

1675- Wüst,  noch 1709
1719- Johann Hinrich Meyer, noch 1739.
1749- Kl  [ Kirchspiel] Meyer, noh 1779.
1755- Eh.zw. Hans Hinrich Schultze aus  ?? [Eddelstorf] Amt. Medingen  and Johann Hinrich Meyers Wwe. Ilsa Marg. geb. Bartels.
1765- Eh.zw. Johann Henrich Koopman aus Neestahl u.  Marg Elisb Meyer, Hans Henrich Schulten Stiest. (E).[stepdaughter]
1788- Eh.zw. Hinrich Christoph Ahrens sohn des Christoph Ahrens in Boitze, and Dor. Marg. Kopmann, einz daughter des Johann Hinrich Kopmann  (E).[could be 1786].
1789- Johann Hinrich [revt or rect?}. Johan Juergen Koopmann
1799- Hinrich Christoph Ahrens 
1815- Eh.zw. Johann Heinrich Ahrens and Kath. Dor. Elisabeth Seil. aus Breese a. S.  ( ? vaterl. H.).

So that's the little bit from Halbhof 5.The Ahrens/ Seil marriage mention is a good find it's more than I had before. I am not sure if the  1788  or  1799 Ahrens mention are Parents or uncles. Only other sources and I suppose church records can say for sure.
Do you see anything you can add to your family history tree.

Some of the other Hofs had the family names:   Koopman, Meyer, and Michels or Michaels, Frombcke, Barge, Bartels, Baucke, Tiedemann, Schmidt, Gerstenkorn, Wolter, Schulz, Deutsch,Radel, Linne, Behne, Jacobs, Willhus, Sell and Voss.

I can see that I need to look further into Kopmann and Koopmann as well as the Barge, Gerstenkorn  and Wolters. There was a Kopmann in the Rosseburg Brockmann tree at hof 30 in Oldendorf.
You may notice that some Surnames mentioned  are  already familiar to us at other villages such as  Gut Suechendorf, Neestahl,  Ellringen, Nahrendorf, Boitze, Ahndorf.

I found Willhus to be residents of Ellringen. I just might pursue the surname there for more information.

 -- The reference to  Kopmann  in Neestahl.=  in Kote 1 an Kloster Medingen  at Neestahl- 1816 Eh.zw. Hans Juergen Eggers stepson des Klostergutsmanns u. Hh Johann Friedrich Schulte and Kath Marie Koopman daughter des Hausw. Christian Friedrich  Koopmann in Oldendorf.

1929 wurde der Ort Buendorf zu Dahlenburg eingemeindet Während noch nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg alle 5 Bauern ihre Höfe selbst bewirtschafteten und zwar Gehrhus, Gerstenkorn, Jacobs, Rosseburg und Hof Bauch von Graue gaben 3 Landwirte ihren Hof im Zuge struktureller Abänderungen auf. Nur Guenter Jacobs und Claus Rosseburg behielten ihre Landwirtschaft und erweiterten ihre Betriebe durch Landankauf bzw. Pachtungen. [In 1929 the town was incorporated to Buendorf Dahlenburg.Only Günter Claus Jacobs and Rosseburg retained their agriculture and expanded their holdings by purchasing land or leaseholds.].

Das Gesicht des Dorfes, ursprünglich ein Rundling, Veränderte sich durch die Entstehung von Neubauten. Schmucke Holzhäuser mit Liebevoll angelegten Gärten entstanden als Zweitwohnungen von Grossstädtern, die hier in Ländlicher Umgebung Erholung suchen.""

Note: *Chr. Meyer a  Halbhof owner in Buendorf is suppose to have daughter Anna Marg.  Meyer who married in 1764 Franz Christian Michels or Michael. son of Kasten Michael at Hof 1 An gut Horndorf  at Muckliingen.

In dies Wirtschaftszeit fiel die Gemeinheitsteilung und Verkoppelung.
Bis dahin hatte der Hof 42 Feldstücke mit insgesamt 128 Morgen 34 QR.,
er hatte 6 Anteile wie alle anderen Höfe an der Gemeinheit. Nach der
Verkoppelung wurde der Hof sowohl nach Fläche wie auch nach dem
Bodenwert = Fläche in Kuhweiden der größte Hof in Oldendorf. Leider ist
aus keinem Aktenvorgang, auch nicht aus dem Rezeß, ersichtlich, aus
welchem Grund dieser Hof die größte Fläche erhielt.
Nach der Verkoppelung hatte der Hof 484 Morgen 105 QR mit 59,7675
Kuhweiden. Er war damit als Halbhof um 177 % gröber als der Doppelhof
Koopmann , = h. Wie alle anderen wandelte der Hof 1839 den Zehnt in
eine jährliche Rente um und zahlte jährlich 25 Rtr. 5 ggr. Geldrente.


CATHARINA ELISABETH AHRENS SCHULZ

Die Tochter Catharina Elisabeth AHRENS heiratete 15.12.1849 den Zimmergesellen Johann Jürgen SCHULZ in Oldendorf, Anbauer auf der Hofstelle des v. Spörckenschen Sattelhofes. Der Vater gab ihr als Mitgift mit:
200 Rtr. bar Geld; 1 Ochse, 1 Kuh, oder 28 Rtr; 2 Sack Roggen und 2
Sack Hafer a 6 Hbt., 1 vollständiges Bett, 1 eichenen Kleiderschrank, ein
dito Koffer, ortsübliches Kisten- u. Kastenpfand, ein Ehrenkleid, zur
Hochzeit 1 Hbt. Roggen und 2 Hbt. Weizen.

Das Geld sollte gezahlt werden: 100 Rtr. zur Hochzeit, den Rest bei Übergabe des Ahrensschen Hofes an den Anerben. (s. Ehevertrag )

Die Mutter Catharina Dorothea Elis. STEINHAUER / AHRENS starb + am 3.5.1843 (43 J.). lhr Mann heiratete im gleichen Jahr wieder, die Witwe Margarete Elisabeth DANNENFELD, geb. GERSTENKORN, Nahrendorf. ( am 8.12.1843).

Jg. Friedrich AHRENS starb am 7.6.1860 mit 63 J. an Engbrüstigkeit, seine 2. Frau am 6.2.1875 im Alter von 69 J.. 5 Mon, 8 Tagen.

Der älteste Sohn #3 Jürgen Heinrich AHRENS übernahm mit seiner Hochzeit an 25,1,1852 den Hof, seine Frau war Katharina Dorothea BRUNS, Oldendorf.
Das Paar hatte 3 Kinder:

3. *1.1.1859 Jürgen Heinrich Friedrich AHRENS


In den Jahren löste er sich aus der Grundherrschaft ab (vor 1857). Am 14.2.1852 verkaufte AHRENS an das Königl. Oberjagddepartement zu Hannover seinen Flächenraum von 6 1/2 Morgen für Errichtung eines Parkwärteretablissements für 200 Rtr. (KA 268/5)


Jürgen Heinrich AHRENS hat seinen Hof scheinbar schon vor 1856 verkauft, denn bei der Geburt seines 3. Kindes wird er schon als Häußler angegeben. 1859 erscheint auf dem Hof der Hausbesitzer Jürgen Heinrich Schäfer. Auch er konnte sich wohl nicht lange dort halten, denn in den Gemeinde - Akten erschien bei der Bürgermeisterwahl als stimmberechtigt
1874 ein Hauswirt HAESE (fr.Schäfer). Dieser war wohl nur noch kürzer auf dem Hof. 1876 war nach der Muttersteuerrolle Oldendorf auf dem Hof ein Friedrich SPIELHAGEN, "Rittergutsbesitzer aus Berlin". Bis dahin war die Hoffläche noch unverändert seit der Verkoppelung. Spielhagen baute sich nach der Hofübernahme einen völlig neuen Hof inmitten seiner Ländereien auf und verkaufte die alte Hoffläche an
Schuhmacher Hermann Heinrich Wilhelm HAUL mit 0,3122 ha
und den Schuhmacher Johann Heinrich Hermann HAUL mit 1,5515 ha.

Ende der 80 er Jahre wurde der Hof in Oldendorf zum Kauf angeboten für 5.000 Rtr., hier handelte es sich wahrscheinlich schon um eine verkleinerte Fläche, denn die Grundsteuer-Mutterrolle von 1895 zeigt schon einen auf rund ein Drittel der Gesamtfläche zusammengeschrumpften Hof. Außer der HoffIäche waren vor allem alles Land zwischen dem nördl. des Hofes sich dahinziehenden Bachlauf und dem Plögensweg nach Süschendorf vereinzelt verkauft worden. Dadurch entstanden die Abbauerstellen entlang des Plögensweges.

Der größte Schlag ging weg an das Gut Süschendorf (Frhr. v. Spörcken),                                nämlich die gesamte Heide südl. der Hofstelle mit

59,5077 ha. Dies waren allesamt die steuerpflichtigen Flächen,                                                     nicht berücksichtigt sind hierbei die Haus- und Hofflächen.

**Den Resthof in Größe von 38,9495 ha kaufte Jürgen Heinrich Friedrich Schröder, * 7.7.1846 in Süttorf. Aus der Ehe mit seiner ersten Frau gingen drei Kinder hervor:

1. *9.2.1881 Doris SCHROEDER, heiratete Hauswirt                                                                         Fr. Heinr. Christoph MENKE in Oldendorf Nr.7,

2. * ein Sohn SCHROEDER nach Amerika.

    The mother died. Schroeder married again and that is the                                                                widow of Mehlfien Moser. 

    She brought a son, Heinrich Friedrich Christoph MOSER. ["FRITZ"] * 4/12/1880
   From Schroeder came to marriage with two sons:* Married to GORDEN,*

 Heinrich SCHROEDER married after Dahlenburg and was                                                      managing director              

of e- work.Schroeder's father died on 11/04/1920.

Heir was Heinrich Friedrich Christoph MOSER, known as "Fritz".

He was born on 4/12/1880 and his wife Ida Dorothy Elizabeth born on 16/04/1882 

in MOUNTAIN WOOD Mehlfien. [?]Then three sons were born:

Die Mutter starb. Schröder heiratete wieder und zwar die Witwe MOSER aus Mehlfien.

Sie brachte einen Sohn Heinrich Friedrich Christoph mit. Aus
der Ehe mit Schröder kamen noch zwei Söhne:
* heiratet nach Görde,
* Heinrich heiratete nach Dahlenburg und wurde dort
Geschäftsführer des E-Werkes.


Vater Schröder starb + am 4.11.1920. Hoferbe wurde Heinrich Friedrich Christoph MOSER, genannt "Fritz". Er war am 12.4.1880 geboren und seine Frau Ida Dorothee Elisabeth geb. BERGHOLZ MOSER am 16.4.1882 in Mehlfien.
Ihnen wurden drei Söhne geboren:
1. * 30.9.1910 Friedrich MOSER OR FRITZ
2. * 5.11.1916 Heinrich Bernhard Hermann MOSER OR FRITZ + 11.11.1916
3. * 8.12.1917 Adolf MOSER OR FRITZ, gefaIlen in Rußland

I have removed the rest of the Moser family History. I didn't realize I had people who maybe living.  I apologize for overlooking that.

Note: I added Michels and Ahrens portion of the Genzel/ Rosseburg tree into quote script so it is easily spotted. Those are those related to my Frederick Meyer tree. He who went to Galena, then to Jackson county; then on to Greene county by Farnhamville, Iowa. More about them later.

- some places were translated from the german names. I will try to fix that.

I Have Been Getting Some Help

I have been looking for a little help lately. I asked at one of the mailing lists if anyone could give me some information from any of the books. I may have asked who the researchers were in the area of Bleckede.

I have had great pleasure to join and involve myself in reading, not nearly enough at bleckede.de. If you haven't been there, do go.

Mr. M. Steinke was kind enough to email me to tell me about the AIDA online. Which had not been working for me lately. I am not sure why not. I started again for me last night. I consulted him about my ignorance in contacting them. I told him I had no clue how to find the exact place my Meyer lived in Oldendorf. Poor Mr. M. Steinke. I told him lots of things. Nice things though. He is going to get back to me.

He already has made a comment for us already. I know we will appreciate his presence! Every little bit helps to a better understood blog, does it not?

He is also a photographer and probably has a tree already finished. I think I have seen his name somewheres before. Perhaps he also holds relatives the same as me. I really must be getting more of my people seen.

That is one reason for this post. It is all good and wonderful to relay and store information at this blog, and maybe someday one of my blogs can look as pretty as the other peoples blogs but not yet. I still have so much to find. It is there I just have to cover it all, rather than the small amounts I have been doing. If not for Mark stirring me up to blog about GROTE, HAGEMANN , NAEFKE, AHRENS; I might not have found Gloria who had the key to SCHENKS, MICHELS, RIECKENS, RADEL and more SEIL. She must have explained her methods. Because he has come back with not only a few letters but a three by two foot chart of GROTE/ HAGEMAN family. I just know they include our others.

After seeing so intermixing of Ostheide area and Barskamp plus a few other villages of Bleckede I emailed the church. I may have to do so again, just in case that email like the chickens flew the coop. You know how they are, always trying to get away!

While I was browsing the Ostheide book Thursday night, I just knew GROTE TREE was involved over there in the villages around Radenbeck too. [ No I haven't been able to browse his new information. He has been pretty busy, moving and all. ] He promises to share. And we will keep an eye on his tree too at ancestry. We have his, the MATTHEWS Tree, and Gloria HOERSCHELMANN / PETESCH.

I worked yesterday at Glorias TREE watching the ancestry leaf spin, which again brought me to another one, [ sorry I don't have her name at my fingertips], who saw the light about Herman Moehrmann being Hoellman or Hellman. [ I will put both of them to the side soon.]

I have decided that one must spend time researching the names one already has with some kind of systematic order, so one does not miss any. There is so much more information out there and other places to still be checked. Besides blogging, I just must research too.!
